Tropicana Field Was the Lighthouse That Guided Me Home

I will always remember Tropicana Field as a lighthouse. Immersing myself in Rays baseball gave me an escape from a sadness that I could no longer suppress. While she was not that old herself, her confines of concrete and canvas shared wisdom with me that was beyond her years. I learned just as much about life as I did baseball during my many hours spent with her. In her honor, I hope to one day share her teachings with someone else who is as lost as I was.

The Trop wasn’t just a great place to watch a baseball game, she was also an often-orange-lit lighthouse that brought me home.
